Ntufam Hon. Comrade John Nkom Etuk Visits Troubled Mfum Border
The Executive Chairman of Etung Local Government Council, Ntufam Hon. Comrade John Nkom Etuk has condemned the violence which erupted at the Mfum Border between residents of the community and security agents.
The Chairman made the remarks when he visited the troubled Mfum Border where he addressed residents.
He described the violence as unfortunate and expressed regret over the loss of live and destruction of properties.
He said Etung is known for her peaceful nature and since he assumed office he has initiated various approaches and provided necessary support to the sustenance of peace in the area.
He said Government would not tolerant any act of lawlessness and called for calm and restraint while the issues are speedily being addressed.
He sympathized with the family of Late Ebri, a resident who lost his life in the course of the violent skirmishes and the destroyed properties.
Hon. Etuk said his administration will continue to ensure law and order while sustaining the peace Etung is known for.
