
Cross River State Health Commissioner hails Nurses as he commissions two Buses powered by Mrs Josephine Bassey’s led administrative council of Nigerian Nurses & midwifes cross River State chapter.
It was a very colorful event yesterday October 23rd 2024 at calabar as the cross River State Health Commissioner, Dr Henry Egbe Ayuk PhD joined by the Head of service,NLCCRS chairman amongst other dignitaries commissioned two super Buses as major achievements to mark Mrs Josephine Bassey led administration 365 days in office as the president council of Nigeria nurses and midwifes CRS chapter.




In his remarks, Ayuk noted that this is a rare accomplishment emanating from a Union body in the Health sector. He commended the leadership of the Union for their effort towards the enhancement of nursing activities in the state stressing that CRS Health workers and nurses in particular are good people,hence they must continue to support Government to deliver more dividends of democracy.
” nursing is a unique profession and CRS nurses have demonstrated so far that they are good people. The achievements of this leadership is very commendable by Government and the Government of His Excellency, the sweet prince will be support activities in the state geared towards promoting peace and human development”he said.
On his part, Eld Obeten Obeten who represented the CRS head of service noted that their commission will continue to support nurses activities in the state in other to achieve more useful results.He thanked the Health Commissioner for his deliberate support towards the nursing union in the state.
The NLC chairman addressing the crowd stressed on the need for Government to be more committed in bettering the working conditions of workers in the state.
Mrs Josephine Bassey the chairman of the Union also announced other faces of success recorded by her leadership to include, ruboost welfare scheme to members amongst other things.
The occasion was climax by the cutting of the anniversary cake and the commissioning of Two Buses by The cross River State Health Commissioner.
