Etomi community in Etung LGA Holds 7th Edition of Ochimabiji Nkan Esan cultural festival,Empowers age grades,individuals with motorcycles,sewing machines,Cocoa spraying pumps,freezers as initiated by Ntufam Hon Ebam Emanghe.

Under the initiative and proactive leadership of Ntufam Hon Patrick Ebam Emmanghe as the President General of Ochimabiji Nkan Esam cultural festival, Etomi community is set to be experiencing strengthened unity, showcasing team spirit and promoting culture.

The 7th edition of this annual epoch making festival was again held at the primary school field at Etomi community in Etung LGA on Thursday 2nd January 2025 attracting personalities across the globe.

Addressing the crowd, the president general Hon Ebam noted that the steadfastness of the event have been dependent on God and ingenuity of the organizing team for each year. He thanked the various age grades for their commitment to the success of the festival with specification to the strategic role of the Coordinator , Dr Cyril Agbor and planning committee chairman, Mr Ntui Emmanuel Abba Mowoe.

The event featured age grades parade, Cultural displays, Empowerment as well as lecture and good – will speeches.

During his lecture, the guest speaker, a political big wig Ntufam Hon Gabriel Odu Oji called for the remodification of some community rules to enhance development.

The Honourable commissioner for Health Cross River State,Dr Henry Egbe Ayuk PhD who was special guest at the event made a note thus:
“2nd January 2025: I participated fully in the Ochimabiji Day at Etomi Etung a great day of our culture, showcasing team spirit, age grade performance and other exhibitions and empowerments to all participating age grades. My age grade- Wisdom Age Grade went home with a sewing machine. Others went home motorcycles, deep freezers. Cocoa spraying pumps etc
It is a great cultural carnival that should be imbibed by other communities
Congratulations Ntufam Hon Ebam Emmanghe and his team who have done this yearly for the past seven years continuously”

It was a very laudable and colorful event with great insights as all participating age grades where empowered with motorcycles, sewing machines, Cocoa spraying pumps, freezers etc as appreciation for their efforts for the activities.
