Obubra/Etung political Assembly adopts Dr Ayuk as Grand patron/Leader,clears the air ahead of 2027.
It was a gloomy day for the cross River State Health Commissioner,Dr Henry Egbe Ayuk PhD as the reputation team of the Obubra/Etung political Assembly decorated him as the leader and Grand patron of the of the Assembly in Grand style on Wednesday the 9th of July at his office in calabar.
Addressing the Commissioner for Health minutes before the decoration, the team led and the director General of the group Comr Ejeh peter took time to unveil the ideology and objectives of the group to include political emancipation.
“We are delibrate and intentional about the growth,development and the political emancipation of our federal constituency. We are not throwing tantrums on any leader but we will be making a bold Statement as our interest for the federal seat,senate and the Governorship positions.
For today, we congratulate you for being the best commissioner in the state and for your hardwork. The Health ministry is obviously the only ministry with so much infrastructure projects,some completed while others are ongoing” he said.
Hon Frank Ekpo stated that the group is open to work closely with the commissioner for a proud leader of the the federal constituency and the state.
” We are proud of your achievements and we are confident working with you to achieve our desired goal in the federal constituency and beyond.
Today, is not a speech making day but we are very open to support you in year future endeavors to the betterment of the constituency.”
Mr Atu Alfred the chairman of the Board of trustees who in company of Apostle Dr Ken Agbor decorated Dr Ayuk as the Grand patron and Leader use the opportunity to Express their satisfaction in the character and service quality of the Health Commissioner stating that is time for a new Dawn.
Hon Priscilla Ekwu and Miss Funsi Bassey in almost the same tune, express excitement in the personality of the commissioner and appealed for females inclusion in political activities especially in the constituency.
Responding to group, Ayuk thanked the group for finding him worthy of such honour,he pledge his support to the group at all times stating that his political history will not be complete with the Obubra people.
” I can not write my political history without the Obubra people. In fact,my election as the Local Government chairman was decided in Obubra. I likes of late John okpa of blessed memories and others cannot be kept aside and sincerely my blue print is still reflecting till date.
Ayuk explained further that Government has intentions to remodel and upgrade the under utilized leprosy Health facility at Apiapum ward in Obubra to a more fitting facility for tuberculosis treatment in the coming months.
He concluded by equally unavailing his plans to empower over 500 vulnerable persons across the 21 wards in Obubra/Etung federal constituency by August.
