

CRS Politics:Hon Egbe Abeng,Ovat Agbor throws weight behind Obubra/Etung political Assembly
Since after the adoption of His Excellency, Apostle Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu and His Deputy Dr Peter Odey as the sole candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the next election by the state chairman Barr Alphonsus Eba,a roll of political multivating seems to be playing out.
We have seen several spreads of endorsement and emergence of political groups and coalition in the country trying to have a political trajectory in one way or the other.
The Duo of Hon Egbe Abeng Aka Egbe Jabingo the House of Assembly member representing Obubra 2 and Hon Ovat Agbor the House of Assembly member representing Obubra 1 has given the Assurance of their support to members of the Obubra/Etung political Assembly going forward.
Hon Egbe Abeng addressing the group during a courtesy visit led by the Director General Comr Ejeh peter, said the objectives and the agenda of the group is in order and will be supported at all times.
” I like the caliber of people I have seen in this group and the objectives of the group is very clear & direct.Don’t be afraid of anything or anyone in the cause of this movement because I am fully in support of you.
People know me,once I’m supporting someone or something nothing can shake me or stop me… Not even dead.. I am not afraid to die for what I believe.” He said.
Meanwhile, Atu Alfred the Bot chairman and Hon Frank Ekpo who spoke at Both meeting took time to explain the group intentions to includes cross fertilization of socio political ideas and political engagements that will enjinja growth and development for the betterment of the constituency amongst others.
In the same vain,Hon Ovat Agbor admonished the group to call a space a space and maintain equity in the their sharing formula at all times.
” Give to Obubra people what is due for Obubra and to Etung people what belongs to Etung, so we can grow together”
He however, he pledged his support to the group as activities unfolds and expressed his excitement for the visit while appealing for a wider stakeholders engagement by group.
The high point of the event was the decoration of both members with an Honour as celebrated personalities which was done by Apst Dr Ken Agbor and the vote of thanks,Hon Priscilla Ekwu used the opportunity advocate for women inclusion in the political space.
