Obubra-Etung Political Assembly: A Movement With Shared Vision And Purpose.
In the darkest state of political neglect and misrepresentation, a vision was born that is channeled towards the emancipation of the Obubra-Etung people.
An idea not conceived of politics, but of tenacity. A vision not about an individual, but about a formidable movement geared towards the betterment of the Obubra-Etung Federal Constituency.
This political crusade came into play at a time when our voices as electorates are no longer being heard by the elected. A time when the promised democratic dividends are not felt in any village or political wards in Obubra and Etung local government area respectively, but only in compounds of those who represent us.
A time when our collective goals and expectations as constituents are twisted, and the pride of individualism erupted. A time when positive policies are discarded based on favouritism. And negative policies adopted based on interest, greed and tribalism.
With years of gross failure politically, came a vision to rewrite and change the democratic narratives strategically.
A call of redemption and liberation embodied in the unity and togetherness of the good spirited Obubra and Etung sons and daughters.
A group united not just to vote, but to vote rightly, not to rally for support, but to sustain the course being supported for positive gains.
With one voice, a call of action is made and unarguably there is no political debate. We stand tall as giants chanting the song of progress from the streets and hinterlands of Obubra down to the streets and hinterlands of Etung our voices echoed louder.
Obubra-Etung Political Assembly is not just another regular political group, but is a group united to champion a course that is meant for the emancipation of the Obubra-Etung Federal Constituency, and also casketting down to our distinguished local government political offices and wards level inclusively.
Our identities are numerous, ranging from Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, Farmers, Students, religious and community leaders, artisans and other professions of higher and lower repute.
We are going to be the voice on the street, orators in town halls, the content on social media outlets, the force on rally spots and the hands that will knock on every door seeking the support of our envisaged progress.
We are ready with our polo shirts and face caps to canvas for vote on reliable prospective political leaders that will take calls, return calls, read messages and reply back when necessary and with the expected desire to driving home the dividends of democracy.
Eschew impunity and imposition, we stand to elect leaders with right thinking minds who have genuine love for their subjects. One who is ready to share in the plight of his people, thereby mourning when his people are mourning and rejoice when they are rejoicing.
A patriot who knows his duties and sees himself as a servant and not a dictator. Also, a leader who is not autocratic rather democratic and always ready to cross fertilize ideas across tribal lines, party names and personal interest.
It is on this note, that the movement Obubra-Etung Political Assembly sprung up with a vision to uphold and a mandate to sustain, thereby fueling the fire of progress and greasing the wheels of sincere unity and love between leaders and their subjects.
However, we are not just a group with compromised tendencies, but a group with high level of focus and commitment accompanied with intense goal-oriented ability.
We will speak and defend the truth where propaganda prevails, correct each other when we make mistakes and be remorseful if need be. We will also show kindness where meanness triumph and champion a course we will be forever proud of excluding personal gains.
We are willing to become the link between the government and the grassroots. The mouth that speaks where silence exist and the light that shines brightest in the darkest part of our constituency.

Let me equally use this opportunity to the thank Our sweet Governor who have brought sweetness to the state and is doing so well. We humbly appeal that in the politics of our constituency going forward,we want to be part of the process from credle to the finish because we are only going to be support candidates that will truly keep the people’s mandate & definitely in due course we will make our point clear.
