The Secretary to the Government of Cross River State (SSG),Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh has charged Cross River State youths to work on self development.
Enoh disclosed this while receiving members of the Obubra -Etung political Assembly during a courtesy visit to his residence in calabar, Early hours of Friday 29th August 2025.
“Beyond politics,youths need to develop themselves in other to attract even better political dividend.Our development as a people is tired to our collective prosperity.”
Consolidating in his personal story, the renown Academic went further to Express that;
” hard work pays, the previlage I enjoy today as the secretary of Government is as a result of my hard work as Provost of Cross River State college of Education and as the Vice chancellor of the cross River University. Therefore, in what ever you are doing, please do it well and be at your best” he admonished.
On his part,the Director General of the Obubra-Etung political Assembly,Comr Ejeh peter addressing the secretary noted that the movement is centered on cross fertilization of ideas, strengthening synergy, advocating for good governance and development of the constituency, including involvement of the group in political activities and emancipation from the cradle to the later amongst others are the core values of the group.
“We are intentional about this movement because we are a fertile people and we want to part of the process of who represents us by 2027 and beyond From the very beginning. As time goes on,we will continue to engage with you but today is an introductory visit to introduce the group to you and identify with you ” he said.
In a vote of thanks,Hon Frank Ekpor the community Relations officer for Obubra 11 and the spokesperson of the group thanked the secretary for his reception of group and impact to his dearing impact to humanity over the years.
