Mr Paul manyo Ojong a fmr secretary of the then Etung consultative forum that spare headed the creation of Etung LGA,a one time cross River State Chairman cocoa buyers association of Nigeria and National secretary of the cocoa buyers association of Nigeria has appreciated the Obubra -Etung political Assembly for the successful flag off of the Ward by ward tour ahead of the Obubra -Etung federal constituency maga Rally for Good Governance and endorsement of His Excellency, Sen Prince Bassey Edet Otu and candidates.
” Let me thank the organizers of this event for honoring me to be here, I congratulate you for this laudable ideas aimed at community impact and government impact. I will encourage you people to finish because starting a thing is already half done and we will continue to support you to ensure that we finish well” he said.
Also the Leader of Etung Legislative council,Hon Comr Ojong ThankGod in his goodwill massage commented the Assembly has set it’s foot on a good note. He encouraged and call on stakeholders to continue to give support to the group starling ideas. He use the opportunity of the event to call on community participation in the ongoing voters registration exercise across the country.
” We have come to Honour the Assembly and dear brother Comr Ejeh peter the DG of the Assembly. We are part of this Assembly and we will continue to support it. I align myself completely with part of the reasons we are here which to encourage our people to take advantage of ongoing voters registration ahead of 2027 and beyond. In doing so, we can begin to initiate the good governance we seek” OJong remarked.
The event which took place at Ajassor community in Etung LGA had community based leaders, Youth council, Religious leaders and other political figures and was hosted by the Assembly on Tuesday the 21th of October 2025.
