“For CRS Reps/Senate seats,we need peoples first National Assembly members” DG Ejeh peter tasks Govt Otu,others.

In cross River State Central, the contest for the Senate seat seems stronger between The current senator Eteng Jonah and Hon Oden Ewa while for the House of representatives the battle is between: Hon Dr Moses the commissioner for environment CRS and Hon Chief Dr Alex Egbona for Abi yakurr federal constituency, Eld Dr Henry Egbe Ayuk commissioner for Health and Rt Hon Mike Etaba for Obubra-Etung federal constituency, Hon Victor Abang and others for ikom Boki federal constituency with all aspirants having their support base.

With this development, the CENTRAL SELECT INITIATIVE led by the Director General,Hon Comr Ejeh peter has hinted that the group will give support to the best candidates after engaging with them.

Ejeh noted that, Cross River Central deserves the best feet ever in the National Assembly at all levels:

“We are hopeful that our Governor will give us the opportunity to taste a leadership that is people oriented in central for both Senate and reps seats. We lack Basic developmental strides even though we are at the center of the state, but we are hopeful that we will get it right this time with the crop of persons aspiring for this position. We are confident that our sweet Governor will spread sweetness we are happy that he knows that he is a democratic politician and as a peoples first Governor he needs his own men and voice in Abuja. Infact,we need people’s first National Assembly members.

We are supporting his Excellency & His deputy completely for second term & we will equally standing by him in any choice of candidates he choses. He is real political figures and are we believing that he will make no mistakes in bringing his own men who are already standing out on board, especially for the reps seats. ”  He mentioned.

He Explained that the group look forward to engage at least Three hundred(300) stakeholders in dinner  interaction at calabar proposed for  Sunday  5th April 2026 by 6pm to better inform their choice decision for senate and House of representatives seats in cross River State Central.

Reacting further,Dr Mrs Margerate Ayara,Dr Victor Ogar,Hon Ovat Abeng,Hon Mkboki Emmanghe amongst others stressed on Hon Oden Ewa commitment to venture in the race the group engaging with him and other aspirants even before the proposed stakeholders engagement
At the meeting of Excos of the group which took place in calabar late hours of yesterday being Tuesday 17th March, The secretary of the Group,Hon Stanley Agbor mentioned the review of the committee members to plan the stakeholders engagement dinner as follows:
