The leader of Etung Legislative council Hon Comr Ojong ThankGod Ekupnse has empowered constituents with cash and school material to support returning students and freshers as well as members of the The Abia student association to enable them cope with Academic needs.

This gesture rating one of its kind in the Annuals of the community was carried out by the leader of council as part of activities to mark his one in office thanksgiving at Abia village in Etung LGA two Sundays ago at as the time of this publication.
The Event, which equally had a church session with chairmaned by Bishop Hon Christian Achor Agbor the political leader of the Ward and Director General of the Ikom urban development authority.
In his remarks, Ojong noted that this is one of the ways of servicing the community for the mandate given to him to serve his people.
” today, we are gathered at my instance in thanksgiving to God for the mandate you people gave to me, first as Councillor representing Abia Ward and secondly as leader of Etung council.
I have some items for the student and women as application for the journey so far and more will as time goes by.” He said.
During their remarks amongst others, the leaders of Ikom and Obubra legislative council expressed their gratitude to the leader of Etung for such gesture noting that nothing less was expected of him.
The event was greased by all round dignitaries including the 10 Councillors of the various Ward of Etung.
