The All progressives Congress (APC) in Obubra -Etung federal constituency has yesterday held its primary election to produce a candidate for the forthcoming General elections yesterday 16th May, Saturday 2026.
The Primaries which held at the respective Local Government Areas of Obubra and Etung recorded a massive turnout and participation as Hon Dr Blessing Egbara was returned as the winner of the All progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Obubra -Etung federal constituency.
In Obubra, a number of aspirants who contended for the party at the initial stage but later withdrew their intentions at the instance of the Governor and the consensus alignment were in attendance to show solidarity while in Etung the reverse seems to be the turn of event, although Captain Edom Tawo who was echored to be the leading aspirant from contenders from Etung was in attendance to show great solidarity and loyalty to the Governor and the party.
Our sources reported that, The reason for some Aspirants absence remains unknown.
In Etung, The Honourable commissioner for Health cross River State,Dr Henry Egbe Ayuk,Hon Henry Njar Anom,Hon Emmanuel Ndum,Dr Kuti Inok, Hon Christian Achor Agbor,Hon Patrick Ebam, Prince Almed Ntui,Hon John Nkom,Hon Patrick Enagu and a very impressive number of stakeholders where at the central coalition center to witness the process.
