
Top Government Officials, professionals,Endorse CRISPA, Back Mega Rally for APC Candidates

Top government officials in Cross River State have endorsed the emergence of the Cross River State Political Assembly Support Group (CRISPA), describing the organisation as a strategic platform capable of contributing to the political and governance processes in the state.
The officials expressed their support during separate courtesy visits by the leadership of CRISPA on September 16, 2026.
Among those who received the delegation were the Commissioner for Youth Development, Barr. Ijom Ukam; the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Boniface Okache; the Commissioner for Health, Eld. Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk; the Chairman of the Unified Support Groups, Mr. Asanye,The state party chairman of the All PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS APC Rt Hon Christopher Etta; and professional contractor, Engr. Achu Eric.
During the visits, Barr. Ukam and Hon. Okache expressed support for the proposed CRISPA mega rally scheduled for October 10 in Calabar to endorse all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Cross River State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The officials also commended the professional composition of CRISPA, describing the decision by professionals from different fields to participate in organised political activities as a unique development.
Speaking during the engagement, the Commissioner for Health, Eld. Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk, urged members of the group to remain committed to supporting the APC-led government at various levels.
He highlighted reforms initiated by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing the view that the measures would provide greater opportunities for Nigerians.
The commissioner also referenced government efforts toward expanding access to healthcare, including initiatives targeted at pregnant women, children aged zero to five years and elderly persons above 70 years, as well as efforts to provide quality and affordable healthcare services.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Unified Support Groups, Mr. Asanye, commended the administration of Governor Bassey Otu, particularly its investments in both infrastructure and human development.
According to him, the administration’s emphasis on its “People First” policy has been a major factor behind the support being expressed by members of the group.
He said CRISPA’s decision to endorse Governor Otu and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections was based on what the group described as the achievements of the administration.
At another engagement held at the residence of professional contractor, Engr. Achu Eric, the host thanked CRISPA for its declared support for Governor Otu’s bid for another term.
Engr. Achu also commended the Director-General of CRISPA for what he described as adding “tremendous value to the Government” since the establishment of the support group.
He, however, advised members of the organisation to maintain their professional careers alongside their political activities, stressing that “politics is just a game.”
Earlier, the Director-General of CRISPA and APC Publicity Secretary, Etung Local Government Area, Amb. Ejeh Peter, briefed the government officials on the group’s registration as a political support organisation and its endorsement by the state leadership of the APC.
He also announced the group’s formal inauguration and solidarity walk scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, and formally invited the officials to the event.
Amb. Ejeh appealed for the officials’ support to enable CRISPA provide what he described as technical and political support during the campaign period and the 2027 general elections.
In their separate votes of thanks, the Treasurer and Assistant Secretary of CRISPA appreciated the government officials for receiving the delegation despite the short notice and for expressing willingness to support the group.
The visits featured the presentation of CRISPA documents, sashes and plaques to the various hosts.
