The Director General of the Assembly – Etung political Assembly Comr Ejeh peter has hinted the Assembly position on the ongoing Etung state contingency 2027 house of Assembly Race that seems to spark some controversy in Etung LGA.
Addressing,the Ofudua ward Excos and some members of the Assembly on Sunday 19th April at Obubra, the Director General noted that it has become necessary for the Assembly to state it’s clear cut intentions and declare openly their support for the betterment of the Etung people.
” Today, we are at ofudua to consolidate with our dear coordinator who have successfully wedded this afternoon and to keep hope alive with our Excos members here in ward. I thanked everyone for your support and courage to our Assembly. However, it is again very important that we cast our activities down to the local Government Areas political setup as an Assembly. We are going to map out strategies to engage with our sweet Governor, Chief of staff,our APC state chairman, Minister of State for industry,The secretary to the Government, The Honourable commissioner for Health,The chairman of Etung LGA, the special Adviser on Assets management and recovery CRS,the party chairman and all critical stakeholders to our point and our voices heard.”
He added that
” We hear issues of zoning amongst other controversies are cropping in as the build up to election continues to draw closer but our interest will be on the Best foot and the right candidate for our people. The right thing should be down because for equity to prevail there must be authentic justice…. We will drive home our interest with grassroot feelings well captured.”
Reacting to the foregoing, Mr Obeten Oden also Appealed that the engagement should extend to Obubra LGA and even to other positions in other for the Assembly to continue to live true to it’s Good Governance mantra….
