Political Assembly confers Patronship Award on ‘A1 Grassroots Mobilizer’ for Prince Is Coming

CALABAR, Sept. 15, 2026 — The Cross River State Political Assembly, CRISPA, has honoured the Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Boniface Okache, JP, with its prestigious Award of Patronship, citing his outstanding contribution to grassroots mobilisation and his support for the political advancement of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

The award was presented on Tuesday when the leadership of CRISPA paid a courtesy visit to Okache at his office in the Government House, Calabar.

The political assembly described the Deputy Chief of Staff as an “A1 Grassroots Mobilizer” for the Prince Is Coming movement and a committed advocate of Governor Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu’s People’s First Agenda.

CRISPA said the recognition was in appreciation of Okache’s commitment to grassroots mobilisation and his role in advancing the political interests of the APC, particularly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group also stated that its engagement with Okache was part of efforts to deepen grassroots awareness, strengthen its organisational structures and galvanise support for APC candidates across Cross River State.

CRISPA unveils 2027 mobilisation plan

The development comes as CRISPA intensifies its mobilisation activities across the state, with the organisation saying it has established structures across the 18 Local Government Areas and wards of Cross River State.

During the visit, the Director-General of CRISPA, Comrade Amb. Ejah Peter, presented the organisation’s itinerary and activity template to Okache, outlining its programmes and mobilisation strategy ahead of the 2027 elections.

One of the major activities on the calendar is a proposed One Million Man Walk/Solidarity Rally, scheduled for October 3, 2026, in support of the endorsement of APC candidates across the political spectrum.

The proposed rally, according to the organisation, is expected to further demonstrate its grassroots strength and commitment to the APC political project in Cross River State.

Okache pledges support

Receiving the award, Okache expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of CRISPA for the honour, describing the recognition as a demonstration of confidence in his commitment to grassroots political development.

He commended the organisation for its discipline, organisational structure and leadership, particularly the vision and drive of its Director-General, Amb. Ejah Peter.

Okache said he was confident that CRISPA would remain a formidable political platform, describing it as a movement “that will stand the test of time.”

He subsequently pledged his unwavering commitment and full support to the Assembly, while urging its members to remain united, focused and steadfast in pursuing their objectives.

“The reward for hard work will always be recognized in due season,” Okache assured.

The recognition further signals the growing importance being attached to grassroots mobilisation and political organisation in Cross River State as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections.
