Customs Officer George Njor Bags People’s First Impact Award
Calabar, Cross River State — Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) George Njor has been honoured with the People’s First Impact Award in recognition of his outstanding commitment to service delivery, humanitarian development and philanthropic interventions.
Njor, a Chief Superintendent of Customs in Nigeria, was recognised for his people-centred approach to duty and his contributions to initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of members of the public.
The award was presented by the Chief Executive Officer of PET Media and Events Ventures, Comr. Amb. Ejeh Peter, who described Njor as a disciplined and dedicated officer whose conduct and commitment to humanity distinguish him in public service.
According to Ejeh, the award was informed by Njor’s sterling performance, diligence and demonstrated commitment to responsibilities entrusted to him.

He is a man diligent in his duty, delivers in all responsibilities given to him and has demonstrated undeniable philanthropic gestures that have equally impacted humanity. Hence, we are doing him this honour.”»
He added that Njor’s character and activities reflect the ideals of a People’s First Agenda, particularly the emphasis on putting humanity and public interest at the centre of service.
Receiving the honour, Njor said the recognition was a reflection of his dedication to service, hard work and commitment to putting humanity first.
The People’s First Award ceremony was held on Friday, July 31, at the Calabar Municipal Council Tent in Calabar, Cross River State, with notable personalities in attendance.
The organisers said the award was part of efforts to recognise individuals whose professional and humanitarian contributions have made meaningful impacts in society.
