CRS Youth Ministry Honours Pet Media Boss Ejeh Peter as People’s First Youth Ambassador of the Year

The Cross River State Ministry of Youth Development has honoured the Chief Executive Officer of Pet Media and Events, Comr. Ejeh Peter, as the People’s First Youth Ambassador of the Year, in recognition of his contributions to youth development, community engagement and service to humanity.
The award presentation, which took place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development, Barr. Dr. Ijom Ukam, was presented to Ejeh by the Commissioner.
Speaking during the presentation, Barr. Dr. Ukam explained that the honour was initially conferred on Ejeh during the 2026 Cross River International Youth Week Celebration, described as the first of its kind in the history of the state. However, the recipient was absent at the event, necessitating the formal presentation of the award at a later date.
The Commissioner commended Ejeh Peter for his consistent contributions to the youth community and his support for the activities of the Ministry of Youth Development.
According to him, Ejeh’s activities in youth coordination, media advocacy and community engagement have continued to add value to the state’s youth development efforts.

For me, every time I have followed Ejeh’s activities and every time he has walked into my office, he comes to add value and support to what we do here for humanity,” Ukam said while presenting the award plaque.»
Ejeh Peter Appreciates Commissioner, Dedicates Award to Governor Otu
In his response, Comr. Ejeh Peter expressed appreciation to the Commissioner and the entire team of the Ministry of Youth Development for what he described as their excellent services to young people in Cross River State and beyond.
He described Barr. Dr. Ijom Ukam as a “refined youth general” and commended the strides recorded by the ministry under his leadership, particularly in the areas of media engagement, youth advocacy and grassroots activities.
Ejeh said the performance of the ministry had been impressive from both the media and grassroots perspectives, noting that its activities had continued to positively impact young people across the state.
He dedicated the award to God Almighty, the Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, and the Ministry of Youth Development for creating an enabling environment for young people to thrive and for recognising his contributions to youth development.
