CRISPA Engages Cross River Lawmakers Ahead of Mega Streets Endorsements, Calls for ‘5 Over 5’

The Cross River State Political Assembly (CRISPA), led by its Director-General, Comr. Amb. Ejeh Peter, CEO of PET Media and Events, has intensified engagements with political stakeholders ahead of the proposed Season 2 and 3 of the Mega Streets Endorsements for All APC Candidates in Cross River State.

The latest engagement took place in Calabar, where the Assembly visited members of the Cross River State House of Assembly and APC candidates as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration ahead of the planned endorsement events.

Among those visited were Hon. Dr. Martins Achadu, Member representing Yala II State Constituency, and Hon. Neji Abang BB, Member representing Ikom I State Constituency.

The engagements followed the launch of Season 1 of the Mega Streets Endorsements, which held on September 28 at Watt Market, Calabar. The Southern Edition, according to the organisers, brought together traders and other grassroots stakeholders in an initiative focused on empowering small-scale traders and mobilising support for APC candidates.

Speaking during the engagement, Hon. Neji Abang commended CRISPA for what he described as an effort to take political engagement directly to the grassroots.

“I want to thank you for your efforts and strategy to get the real people, those in the streets, to lend their voice and support to all of us who are running for election,” Abang said.

He described the proposed endorsement as significant, noting that support coming directly from grassroots stakeholders would be important to candidates and the party.

“This endorsement is very important and strategic because it will come from the real people, and we will support the moves in any way we can,” he added.

On his part, Hon. Dr. Martins Achadu, while responding to the address by the CRISPA leadership, emphasised the need for APC supporters to work toward securing victories across the various levels of the elections.

According to him, the party should seek to maximise its votes and ensure what he described as a “5 over 5” outcome.

“We are coasting to victory in our election. In fact, we will win elections, but we must ensure we increase our vote for the President and ensure that we deliver 5 over 5 without mistake,” Achadu said.

The CRISPA leadership said the engagements were part of preparations for the next phases of the Mega Streets Endorsements, which are expected to take place across the two senatorial districts.

The proposed Season 2 and 3 activities are expected to hold within the coming weekends, according to the organisers, as the Assembly continues its engagements with stakeholders and grassroots groups across the state.
