Led by its Director-General, Comr. Amb. He described the proposed endorsement events as a strategic platform for strengthening the relationship between candidates and the electorate, noting that grassroots participation could give the initiative broader significance.

“I want to thank you for your efforts and strategy to get the real people, those in the streets, to lend their voice and support to all of us who are running for election,” Abang said.

Also speaking during the engagement, Hon. Dr. Martins Achadu expressed confidence in the APC’s electoral prospects and called on party members and supporters to intensify their mobilisation efforts across the various levels of the elections.

He emphasised the need to maximise voter support for the party’s candidates, including its presidential candidate, while working towards the party’s stated objective of securing victories across the ballot.

The initiative has also received support from Hon. Dr. Blessing Egbara, the APC candidate for Obubra–Etung Federal Constituency, who reportedly made a financial contribution towards the proposed event.

The involvement of these stakeholders adds to the range of consultations being undertaken by CRISPA as it prepares to extend the Mega Streets Endorsements beyond its inaugural edition.

FROM WATT MARKET TO WIDER GRASSROOTS ENGAGEMENT

The latest consultations build on Season 1 of the Mega Streets Endorsements, which the organisers say was launched on September 28 at Watt Market, Calabar.

The Southern Edition brought together traders and other grassroots stakeholders in an exercise intended to encourage public participation and provide a platform for citizens to express their views and positions regarding political candidates.

By engaging market communities and other grassroots groups, CRISPA seeks to create a direct channel of interaction between candidates and ordinary citizens, extending political conversations beyond conventional meetings and party structures.

The Assembly’s approach places particular emphasis on the participation of traders, market associations, community stakeholders, and other groups whose voices the organisers seek to incorporate into the endorsement process.

The first edition provided the foundation for further consultations, with the CRISPA leadership now engaging political officeholders, lawmakers, and candidates ahead of the next phases.
