CRISPA Backs Tinubu, Mobilises Members for Pre-Rally Walk and Presidential Campaign Rally in Cross River

The Cross River State Political Assembly (CRISPA) has reaffirmed its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and other candidates of the party, demonstrating its commitment through active participation in the ongoing political campaigns across the country.

The group demonstrated its support through the massive mobilisation of its members for the pre-rally awareness walk held on Sunday, November 1, in Calabar, ahead of the APC presidential campaign rally in Cross River State.

The awareness walk witnessed an impressive turnout of political support groups under the leadership of the Directorate of Support Groups. Participants marched from Mary Slessor Roundabout to the Governor’s Office, expressing their readiness and commitment ahead of the presidential rally.

Similarly, at the presidential campaign rally held at the Calabar Stadium on Monday, November 2, CRISPA was actively represented, with its members participating in the event.

The group’s mobilisation was coordinated through its Directorate of Youth Mobilisation, in collaboration with the Cross River State Ministry of Youth Development, led by Barrister Ijom Ukam. Beyond youth-based political groups, the mobilisation brought together thousands of young people who participated in the rally in solidarity with President Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu.

Speaking at the rally, Governor Bassey Otu called on Nigerians to support President Tinubu and other APC candidates, highlighting some of the Federal Government’s policies and projects which, according to him, have implications for Cross River State.

Also speaking at the event, Senator Adams Oshiomhole highlighted several initiatives and projects of the Tinubu administration, including the restoration of oil wells to Cross River State, the proposed expansion of the state’s deep seaport and the Federal Government’s student loan scheme.

Oshiomhole said:

“Cross River State should support President Tinubu to complete the Calabar-Lagos road. Mr President has restored your oil wells, and he is expanding your deep seaport. Thousands of students from Cross River State have benefited from the student loan scheme,” among other remarks.

The rally was attended by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, represented by the Vice President, alongside other top government officials and political stakeholders from across the country.

CRISPA’s participation in both the pre-rally awareness walk and the presidential campaign rally highlighted the group’s organisational involvement in the APC activities in Cross River State.
